American Waltham Watch Co.,Waltham, Mass., "Riverside Maximus", 16 size, 23 jewels, stem wind and scarce lever set, adjusted, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, diamond endstone, cut bimetallic balance, gold jewel settings, gold timing screws, gold wheel train and whiplash micrometric regulator in a yellow gold filled, screw back and bezel open face case, and Arabic numeral, double sunk white enamel dial, blued steel spade and whip hands, serial #14049244, c1905.
CONDITION:
CASE: Shallow dent, back; Dings and pin pricks; Scratches on outer surface of case; Case screw marks on inner surface of case back; Crystal with scratches. DIAL: Fine scratches, otherwise very good. HANDS: Seconds replaced; Minor oxide, tip of minute. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; Steel with minor oxide; Escape wheel endstone setting marred. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). An unusual, and perhaps unique example, as this run of the Riverside Maximus was stem set.
